Reckhenrich Advisors, Munich

In the area of Board Advisory, I offer to support clients in demanding situations of decision-making and conflict. Sustainable results for business and workable solutions for people are the goal. With personal commitment and integrity, I pursue robust solutions on the merits and the clarification of personal conflicts. My professional experience and personal independence as well as clarity of thought and language are the means.

2014 – 2022
Member of the Board of Management, Munich Re

My mandates included various business portfolios in reinsurance as well as global human resources work. In terms of business responsibility, my focus was on developing and maintaining long-term client relationships characterized by personal trust and mutual benefit. Development of profitable business in traditional reinsurance with care and courage was just as important to me as entering new ground in a controlled manner. As MoB responsible for people management, my focus was on future-oriented leadership as well as forward-looking initiatives such as fundamental changes to the compensation system, performance management and workplace concept.

As a Member of the Board of Management, I had the following responsibilities:

  • From 08/2018: Europe and Latin America
  • From 04/2017: Human Resources
  • 02/2017 – 07/2018: Special & Financial Risks
  • 05/2014 – 01/2017: Munich Health
1999 – 2014
Various Management positions, Munich Re

With the establishment and management of "Claims, Legal & Finance" in the area of corporate risk, project management tasks and result responsibility for the Group's aviation and space business, among other things, I have held a wide range of different leadership positions. From 2011 to 2014, as Presidenta Ejecutiva, I had the privilege of leading Munich Re Madrid through the economic crisis in Spain and Portugal. For me, the common core of these diverse tasks lay in my commitment to clients, business and staff, which required as much prudence as determination and always sustainable good decisions.

1996 – 1999
Assistant to Prof. Dr. Joachim Schmidt-Salzer, Member of the Board, HDI Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen Industrie V.a.G. later-on In-house Lawyer

As assistant to Prof. Dr. Joachim Schmidt-Salzer and subsequently as in-house lawyer in the industrial liability insurance department, I learned and was responsible for negotiating and resolving major claims made against German corporates. Regardless of whether the particular challenges lay in the special U.S. environment, the legal-political or financial dimension, the goal in each case was to find future-proof solutions. Despite the high level of complexity and the often unavoidable - also personal - burdens and conflicts, the aim was to enable the individuals and companies involved to continue to work together in a productive manner.
